Houston Nutt is a much more realistic scenario than Saban EVER was.
At this point, any realistic Alabama fan knows that you would be lucky to get Nutt. Sorry to say, but MM is a complete, and utter fool, who has turned a mediocre program into an awful one. By mediocre, I mean in the past 5 years.
Alabama is still one of 5 schools that has the power to draw the big time winners. There is a lot of coaches with the knowledge & understanding of the game to know what we offer. 8 yrs out of the last 10 have stopped us from doing anything much as far as replacing Stallings. That is past now & we are back to were we were in 94. Men and you to Cynthia things are about to get good..
timewatchr I hope you are right. It seems to me NS may be playing the Im hard to get deal just for more money. The longer this plays out the worse it seems to get.
I don't think Houston Nutt is a possiblity at Alabama. Is Jimmy Sexton using the situation at Alabama to help his client get a little more money and an extension? Probably. Houston Nutt has been a game away from being fired at least twice at Arkansas and maybe he would like Tommy Tuberville type security so he doesn't have to worry about losing his job by the third game of 2007.
I would say if Nutt was the back up candidate they would have probably already pulled the trigger.
Plus, I don't think Nutt would be a posiblity based on the secret testimony of some of his staff and possibly himself back in 2000.
I'm beginning to think they're all using our interest to gain more money and extended contracts where they are.
I surely hope MM and BOT have something cooking.
As for NS, well when you read the Herald article, he said word for word almost the same thing prior to leaving LSU.
